Big Green Egg Fire Starters

Our Fire Starters are made from sawdust and paraffin and are very effective for quickly and easily lighting lump charcoal without imparting a chemical taste. A box contains 24 cubes. The Electric Starter, if you prefer that method of lighting, will light the charcoal in about eight minutes. Directions: ~Fill the fire box with lump charcoal to at least 1 inch above the air holes. ~With the lid open, slide the draft door completely open. ~Nestle 1 or 2 Big Green Egg Starters into the charcoal and light. After approximately 10 mins, or whenever several coals are burning, close the lid. ~When the temperature gauge reaches the desired cooking temperature, reduce the airflow by adjusting the dual function metal top and draft door. ** Do not hold Fire Starter in hand to light.
